- Choose a primary site and a realistic Plan B.
- Compare cloud forecasts along the path, not just at your hotel.
- Check official traffic restrictions, parking plans and public viewing areas.

## 24 hours before
- Re-check forecast trends.
- Confirm transport arrangements.

## Eclipse morning
- Arrive substantially earlier than for a normal day trip.

- Avoid unsafe roadside parking or rushed last-minute moves.
